LM’s history dates back to 1947, in the Hochelaga-Maisonneuve neighbourhood of Montreal. It was here, in the back of a family home, that Pierre-Paul Lamarre, a young mechanic with an entrepreneurial spirit, founded “Lamarre \u00c9lectrique enr.” The modest, makeshift workshop was set up in an old stable converted into a repair shop. From the beginning, the company benefitted from strong family involvement: Pierre-Paul handled the repairs, his wife Ir\u00e8ne winding the stators, and his father Raymond lent a hand.<\/p>

Together, they laid the foundation for a solid craft business, driven by hard work, precision, and word of mouth. The years that followed were marked by a steadfast commitment to quality service and genuine customer relationships. In 1979, Robert Lamarre, the founder’s son, took over the leadership of the company alongside his partner Gilles Delisle.<\/p>

Motivated by a desire to modernize and expand the business, the two young partners launched an ambitious phase of growth. They moved to larger premises, diversified their services, recruited new talent, and embraced cutting-edge technologies. Despite economic downturns, they persevered, evolving LM into a more industrial structure while maintaining its family spirit.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Rooted in this tradition of passion and commitment, LM is now a leading Quebec company specializing in the distribution, sale, rental, and repair of rotary machines and their control systems.
